Introduction #

If you’re reading this, you probably came across a TikTok where I proposed the idea of Blue Jays fan fiction. As an avid romance reader, I’ve been desperately craving a series that highlights all the positive aspects of Toronto that have kept me here for the past fifteen years. Seeing the city come together during the World Series left me inspired, and I decided to explore that passing thought a little more deeply. Though the World Series may not have ended the way the city hoped, my personal superpower has always been turning negatives into positives, which is one of my many goals for this project.

Fan fiction can sometimes have negative connotations, but to me, it means taking inspiration from a familiar source and making it your own. This story centers a fictional Toronto baseball team, and though I've incorporated a few real elements, the characters and plot are fictional.

Most importantly, I’d love your feedback. Being a part of writing groups in the past taught me the value of constructive criticism and how much it contributes to both my improvement and motivation as a writer. Consider this an experiment for me to crowdsource feedback while providing early supporters and fellow aspiring writers a look at the behind-the-scenes process. Please keep in mind while reading that this is a work in progress and not a novel, or even a finished draft. I’ll be posting new chapters and edits weekly, and welcome feedback via email, DMs, or comments at any time.
